The Hotel Phoenix is part of the Aufdenblatten Collection. The “Aufdenblatten Collection” is more than just a collection of hotels. We are a family of hosts with deep roots in the Zermatt and Täsch region. Our vision is to translate traditional Valais hospitality into a contemporary, high-quality experience.
A Hotel with Character
A New Home in Zermatt
With the construction of The Phoenix Hotel around 2010, a new retreat was created in the quiet Wiesti neighborhood—just a few steps from the Sunnegga cable car. In 2026, the hotel was acquired by the Aufdenblatten Collection and repositioned as a fitness hotel. Today, the hotel combines contemporary design, personalized hospitality, and a peaceful setting—the ideal starting point for discovering Zermatt in every season.
The Aufdenblatten family has had deep ties to the region for generations. The family name derives from the hamlet of Blatten—“Uf de Blatte”—above Zermatt and has been synonymous with authentic Valais hospitality since the 1930s. With the addition of The Phoenix, the Aufdenblatten Collection has expanded to include a modern boutique hotel.
