Discover the Hotel Phoenix Zermatt
With the construction of The Phoenix Hotel around 2010, a new retreat was created in the quiet Wiesti neighborhood—just a few steps from the Sunnegga Funicular. In 2026, the hotel was acquired by the Aufdenblatten Collection and repositioned as a fitness hotel. Today, the hotel combines contemporary design, personalized hospitality, and a peaceful location—the ideal starting point for exploring Zermatt in every season.
The Aufdenblatten family has had deep ties to the region for generations. The family name derives from the hamlet of Blatten—“Uf de Blatte”—above Zermatt and has stood for authentic Valais hospitality since the 1930s. With the addition of The Phoenix, the Aufdenblatten Collection has expanded to include a modern fitness hotel.
