Deluxe Double room
The deluxe double rooms are the largest rooms in Hotel Phoenix. The orientation is south, south-west or east. Three deluxe rooms have glazed bay windows which allow a beautiful panoramic view – including the Matterhorn. Three of nine deluxe rooms have a wonderful view of the Matterhorn. Four of the nine are located in the attic and have a sloping roof with a large volume.

Superior Double room
The superior rooms are in the middle category of Hotel Phoenix.
The rooms are facing towards south, west or east. Some rooms have a larger bathroom with a bathtub/shower or they have higher floors with a roof slope. The base area is larger than most standard rooms. Some superior double rooms have a pull out double sofa bed – suitable for one adult or two children.
Such additional sofa beds are available in the Superior and Deluxe categories and only available directly through us. Please contact us for more information

Standard Double room
The standard double rooms are a bit smaller in the base area compared to the superior and deluxe rooms. The bathroom is a little smaller in area than in the higher categories, and most of the standard rooms are equipped with a shower. The alignment is oriented to the west or east. If you have individual preferences regarding orientation, please contact us by email or telephone. Please note that for bookings made via third-party no special requests can be considered. We are happy to give you information by phone or email.

Welcome to the 3 star hotel Phoenix
Modern and rustical – the brand new Hotel Phoenix ***
The newly opened Hotel Phoenix in Zermatt offers design that combine tradition and modern elements. Natural materials such as authentic and cozy wood, hand-crafted stone walls and glass were used for the construction of the hotel. In order to protect the environment in the future, earth drilling has been used to provide the geothermal heat for the hotel. The entire power for hot water and heating is provided by geothermal energy. Hotel Phoenix is currently the first hotel in Zermatt, which is completely powered by geothermal energy. This reduces the energy loss to a minimum and also provides good insulation system.
There are three types of rooms that guest can select: Standard, Superior and Deluxe. These are simple in style with custom designed furniture. They impress with their simplicity and functionality.
The highlight is the semicircular room, from which you can take a look from the bed at the Matterhorn. Room amenities include bath / shower, hairdryer, internet access, a flat-screen TV (81cm), telephone and room safe. Smoking is allowed on the balconies to the guests.
The location of the hotel is optimal. The Bahnhofstrasse and cable car station are located within walking distance (about 6-8 minutes).
The breakfast buffet is open from 7:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
A touch of nostalgia wafts through the exquisite bar – lounge area. Here guests can enjoy the evening in a unique atmosphere with a view of the blazing fire. Guests can even enjoy free internet access in the lounge area. The natural elegance with a sense of comfort is felt throughout the hotel.
